Effective date: January 1, 2026. These terms apply to all services provided by La Verne Fences and all use of lavernefences.com.
By using the website at lavernefences.com, contacting us for a quote, or engaging La Verne Fences to perform fence installation, repair, or related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. These terms apply to homeowners, property managers, and any other individuals or entities who request services from us.
La Verne Fences provides residential and commercial fence installation, fence repair, fence replacement, gate installation, and related services in La Verne, California and surrounding communities. The specific scope of work for each project is defined in the written estimate or contract provided to the customer before work begins. We reserve the right to decline any project at our discretion.
All estimates are free and provided in writing. An estimate is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued unless otherwise stated. Estimates are based on the conditions observed at the time of the site visit and may change if the scope of work changes, if hidden conditions are discovered during the work (such as buried concrete, roots, or underground utilities), or if material costs change materially between the estimate date and the start of work.
We will notify you of any changes to the estimated price before proceeding with additional work. Signing a written estimate or authorizing work to begin constitutes your acceptance of the quoted price and scope.
Project start dates are scheduled based on crew availability and permit processing timelines. We will provide you with a confirmed start date in writing. We reserve the right to reschedule due to weather conditions, material delays, or other circumstances beyond our control.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed project, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may result in a fee to cover crew scheduling costs. If materials have already been ordered for your project, you may be responsible for restocking fees or the cost of materials that cannot be returned.
We reserve the right to cancel a project if site conditions on the day of work are unsafe or substantially different from what was described at the time of the estimate.
Payment terms are specified in your written estimate or contract. For most residential projects, a deposit may be required before work begins, with the remaining balance due upon project completion. Accepted payment methods will be listed in your estimate.
Final payment is due on the day the project is completed, unless otherwise agreed in writing. If payment is not received within 10 days of the completion date, a late fee may be applied. Unpaid balances may be subject to collection proceedings, and you may be responsible for reasonable attorneys fees and court costs incurred in collecting the debt.
Disputes about invoice amounts must be raised in writing within 7 days of receiving the invoice. Disputing a partial amount does not relieve you of the obligation to pay the undisputed portion.
Where a building permit is required by the City of La Verne or any other applicable jurisdiction, La Verne Fences will apply for the permit on your behalf as part of the project. Permit fees are either included in the estimate or itemized separately.
You are responsible for obtaining any HOA or community association approvals required for the proposed fence. We can assist with documentation, but we are not responsible for HOA rejections based on design choices you approved or information you provided. Work that must be removed or modified due to HOA non-compliance will be your financial responsibility.
We stand behind the quality of our work. If a defect in workmanship appears within 1 year of project completion, we will return to correct it at no charge. This warranty covers installation defects - posts that were set incorrectly, boards that were improperly fastened, or structural failures directly attributable to how the work was done.
This warranty does not cover:
All materials are provided with whatever warranty the manufacturer offers. We do not extend additional warranties on materials beyond what the manufacturer provides.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, La Verne Fences is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from our services or your use of our website, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim related to a specific project is limited to the amount you paid for that project. We are not responsible for delays caused by permit processing, material shortages, weather, or other circumstances outside our direct control.
You are responsible for providing accurate information about your property boundaries, HOA requirements, and any underground utilities or irrigation systems near the fence line. We will call 811 (Dig Safe) before digging when required by law, but private irrigation lines and other non-utility infrastructure are your responsibility to mark.
You must ensure that the work area is accessible on the scheduled start date and that pets, children, and personal property are clear of the work zone. If we arrive and the site is not accessible, a trip fee may apply.
If you have a concern about our work or a billing dispute, please contact us directly first. Most issues can be resolved through direct communication without formal proceedings.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing litigation. Any legal proceedings that do proceed will be conducted in the county in which the project was performed or in Los Angeles County, California.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of courts located inCalifornia for the resolution of any disputes.
